Fields in MSProject tasks can be updated. Not sure if this answers your question.

Is there an option to extract a view from MS Project (ex: Financial Forecast by resource) without opening/lauching it.

@msmvss - haven't tried this for a while. In principal, everything accessible via the UI should have an equivalent method of invoking from the code. You'll have to review win32com documentation and explore MSProject specifics.
