PayPal sided with me after deliberating on the chargeback. They (being TheMinecraftHosting ) replied once with what might be construed as a threat if it were coherent enough to be English. Glad this was dealt with!

other websites are down, partially due to this situation!
I will be summarizing my subjective anecdotal experience with the VPS SERVICES of theminecrafthosting.com. I believe it is likely that their MINECRAFT HOSTING services are far more lucrative, and therefore actually have a modicum of functionality.
Oh also, code CHRISTMAS
gets you 60% any minecraft server. I couldn't use it, as it didn't apply to VPS hosting, and frankly that discount was the only reason I decided to try out a hosting service with such a silly name but, the price / performance ratio was still incredible, so I decided:
"Why not?"
...
Well. I found out.
theminecrafthosting.com
homepage. It looks like they removed thewww.
! Interesting timing, but maybe I'm full of myself.
At first everything was dandy. Apart from having to wait many hours to have my server allocated, I was actually upgraded from the standard VPS server to a Dedicated server, with no extra charge! Talk about customer service.
I waited a while to get more information to login to my new high performance VPS -- and eventually it came -- albeit via a support ticket which simply included a single IP (I paid for 2 extra, so I should have received 3 if you aren't good at math) as well as a root login with an admittedly strong password. That said, any sort of sharing of passwords in plaintext is... well very strange at the least.
This gave me a bad feeling, but I continued on, excited to setup my new system via SSH to the 1 IP I was given. And this went great!
For a absolute maximum of 20 hours (non-sequential).
Right after I installed my admin panel software, and configured my servers, everything died without any warning. I have yet to get meaningful communication, or any information (LOGS!!!) regarding the system crash. Of course, system failures happen! This is completely understandable. The Problem begins when I receive little to no communication, and the OUTAGE IS ONGOING. Do continue to read down below.
As I'll speak on in a moment, I wasn't able to get data for this section, so I will omit it.
My server worked well for the 20 or so hours I had access to it since I bought it some 96 hours ago. I had no time to stress test the hardware because I was booted offline with no recourse so quickly so I can't really speak on the performance.
The client area however is what really hurts the score here, as it is -- I kid you not -- completely non-functional. My host listed on screen was not at all verified before it was set in stone (obviously I own it, but the lack of due diligence...). My nameservers were set by the creation form which only asked for a "Nameserver Prefix", but now my name servers have since displayed the nonsensical "ns1" and "ns2" as their values. No button to interact with the VPS system works. At all. No rebooting, no starting, no gathering crash reports or output logs: forget that. Just make a support ticket and wait for an unsatisfying answer which only answers one of the four questions you asked.
Examples of unacceptably useless "Client Area"
As I mentioned earlier, this whole system is essentially run via Support Tickets being that their client panel is functionless. So I was shocked at how long I had to wait (and indeed AM WAITING!) for response to any ticket. I do admit I have labelled all my tickets with High
importance, which is rather rude, but in my defense, my server was completely unreachable and I had been waiting 13 hours.
I receive vague ticket replies, my root password & login info (unencrypted) in an email which gmail warns me might be a scam, as your emails are sent out without a simple TLS or SSL certificate, likely via port 25.
While the people at the end of the support ticket line initially seemed like they could be helpful, if just very slow to reply to tickets, but I am now seeing complete silence or non-delayed answers if I'm lucky.
an unsecured email response header from support.
If you are looking for a minecraft server hosting business, and don't really care about it's uptime or support reliability, this is a usable cheap option with an auto-install.
For anything more complicated: RUN. The price is too good to be true. Unless theminecrafthosting really step it up in terms of... everything that isn't minecraft hosting, they will receive no more of my business.
I am to say the least unenthusiastic about my server hosting experience with theminecrafthosting.com. I will not return unless they reach out and personally resolve this issue with competent staff... or for fucks sake, if they reach out via an executive who needs someone competent enough to set this system up for VPS customer use. It's not easy, but it's not terribly difficult either. With my experience, I could absolutely do it. But me or otherwise, someone NEEDS. TO.
Feel free to contact me! If you need to, it won't be hard to figure out how.
