Wack. Welcome back, and thank you all for one year of Heliodex project updates!
Fun fact: Today (or tomorrow) is the 10th anniversary of the release of the Mercury client. yippee
Development on Mercury has slowed significantly after hitting a roadblock in getting RCCService (2015) working, shortly after we re-issued keys to beta testers. It periodically returns garbled responses to the server for clothing renders, and dealing with gzipped responses is also a pain.
We've been trying to get our hands on any version of RCC later than 2016, though taskmanager claims the JSON templates needed for these versions don't exist (untrue). A 2021 version seems easiest to obtain, but would require a backend rework to use the JSON templates.
The orchives have continued to grow, and thanks to several contributors and people suggesting new documents, we have over 25 documents in the archive. We're always looking for new documents to add, and check our searches page for a list of documents we're looking for more information on.
Finally got that about page done. https://heliodex.cf/about
Over the last few weeks I've been working on the assignment for an AH computing science course, mostly just putting together prototypes and seeing what sticks. There's a couple other projects I'm also working on that I'll show off sometime in the future.
