Better local require() paths for Node.js

Better local require() paths for Node.js

Problem

When the directory structure of your Node.js application (not library!) has some depth, you end up with a lot of annoying relative paths in your require calls like:

const Article = require('../../../../app/models/article');

Those suck for maintenance and they're ugly.

Possible solutions

/**
* POST to create a new user.
*/
exports.create = function *(){
var body = yield parse(this);
// password
var pass = body.password;
assert(pass, 400, 'password is required');

JavaScript Normalized Particle Swarm Optimization Implementation - Search for an N-dimensional vector of components between -1 and +1 that optimizes a given function to a fitness of 0.

Mosh is great, but sometimes the remote server you're accessing doesn't have it installed or doesn't give you sudo access. This script will install mosh as a user.
#! /bin/bash
# Make a directory to hold local libs and bins
mkdir -p ~/usr/local
# Get protobuf
wget https://protobuf.googlecode.com/files/protobuf-2.5.0.tar.gz
# Extract protobuf
tar -xvzf protobuf-2.5.0.tar.gz
cd protobuf-2.5.0

`git flow` vs. `git`: A comparison of using `git flow` commands versus raw `git` commands.

Initialize

gitflow git
git flow init git init
  git commit --allow-empty -m "Initial commit"
