#My concrete To Dos:
- Dive into the recuiterbox/Zendesk APIs to assess functionality
- Familiarize myself with the current state of your PSDs
- Get contracts signed
#Things I need
A few months ago, I was offerred the opportunity to join a startup as a cofounder. I asked a friend for advice and he asked me to define my motivations. They were:
- To build and have ownership of something I loved
- To create something that had the potential to impact many people in a beneficial way
As I've understood it, impact in this sense is not inwardly focused, like the impact you could have on a product. It is outwardly focused, as in, the impact your product could have on the world.¹
If impact ranks in one of the reasons you're thinking about getting into startups– either as an employee or founder– you might want to rethink your motivations. If you want to
#Organizational Questions: what is the best way to organize this information to ensure that people are helped as effectively as possible?
should we split the errors by windows/mac/linux, or by error type (listed in descending order of cases)?
Should their be entirely different guides for debugging Mac and Windows?
#Errors I know of
- app.db
- proxy/firewall
features I want:
-
automatic saving/editing. No going back and forth from edit to view
-
automatic saving
-
markdown by default
-
a better ui to view your gists
-
I don’t know how easy it would be to add a non-user facing side like the ability to share published gists, (beautifully)
- ice cream @ smitten
- hike lands end
- rent a bike and ride over the golden gate to saulsolito (grab a glass of wine at Barrel house)
- if you're into coffee, fourbarrel and st. franks are my favorites, sightglass is gorgeous though
- baker beach (if the weather's good-- i went swimming last weekend)
- dolores park on the weekend is a blast
- the japanese tea garden in golden gate park has free admission tuesday and thursday before 10 (i think)
- 9th floor of the de young museum has an awesome observatory (and it's free!)
- hiking up corona heights, then walking down into the haight is fun
- exploratorium! (first thursdays of the month are adult nights)
Update: | |
The surface playground is complete, save for any bugs, additional UI changes or added functionality. It's gone through a few iterations and I'm pretty excited about its current state.
Right now, the current process for the playground is:
1. Enter a mapid or use an example
2. Edit the available parameters |
