I can confirm that this code doesnt work, I get the WiFi but when I connect to the webserver the connection is refused, no website is shown..
How did you convert the png file to code ?
When you open a new window is not shown in what is now the state of the LED. How to display the LED status when opening a new window in the browser?
Would appreciate some help getting the handle_image() function to work. (The /adc and / handlers work as intended.)
The esp8266.com link above doesn't help (someone suggests putting the server.send after the client.write, but that doesn't work either.)
In response to /led.png, Firefox gives "The image at blah blah cannot be displayed because it contains errors." Others on esp8266 noted the same error.
If the led.png is saved, it is empty.
void handle_image() {
server.send_P(200, "image/png", image, sizeof(image));
}
You can download a conversion tool from this link:
http://www.codeproject.com/Tips/845393/Convert-a-Binary-File-to-a-Hex-Encoded-Text-File
I can confirm that 'server.send_P()' as suggested by dorin-sima works fine in edge (windows 10), firefox (windows 10, android), chrome (android)
Thanks for this post!
server.send(200, "text/plain", "This is an index page.");
I don't know what is "200" mean
Please help me to understand
200 is a http response code, here's more info:
https://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec10.html
Solo funciona de esta manera:
void handle_image() {
WiFiClient client = server.client();
client.write(image, sizeof(image));
server.send(200, "image/png", "");
}
Este orden esta chekeado al 2018. Muchas Gracias
void handle_image() {
server.send_P(200, "image/png", image, sizeof(image));
}
Great Dorin-Sima !
You fix it !
Thanks so much !
Tested on Geekcreit ESP8266, with board as Wemos D1 R1 (led pin is gpio4)
void handle_image() {
server.send(200, "image/png", "");
WiFiClient client = server.client();
client.write(image, sizeof(image));
}
This part of code don't work!! Look here..
