The Nexus 7 (2012) tablet is no longer supported by Offensive Security; I didn't have any luck with kernel/kali distributions, so attempted upgrading.

Problems

Installing Open GApps slows the device to a crawl, haven't been able to install an app without the device freezing (though may need to let it sort itself out for longer)
Attempted to avoid GApps by installing a browser from APK (via adb)
- Mozilla Focus https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/focus-android/releases
  - Launching app shows screen, but crashes Android after a couple of seconds

Hi there! Thanks for offering me a coding assigment test. I see that this can be a useful method to compare different candidates applying for the XYZ-Role. I would like to kindly ask if you have some leeway in finding an alternative way to evaluate my coding skills? I have written a number of open-source projects/spoke at conferences/worked as a coding-teacher/did XYZ and I would love to showcase this to your engineers:

I checked that ABC is doing a lot of XYZ and I opened a Github issue extra for ABC (LINK TO GITHUB ISSUE). I can program this feature/fix that bug within a given timeframe and then discuss the written code with one of your engineers?

Lenovo ThinkPad W541

The W541 is a workstation laptop based on the Intel Haswell architecture which has an Nvidia GK106GLM (Quadro K2100M) discrete card configured via Optimus.

This architecture poses some challenges within Linux. In the Windows world Nvidia handles all complexities of both adapters, in Linux the herculean effort of the Bumblebee project allows you to tackle the complex topology and have a usable system.
