Introduction to Marketing

Class Objective:

The goal of this class is to give you a broader understanding of marketing as it relates to the strategy of an organization.

Readings (To be done before class):

(1) Marketing Simulation Readings and Videos (HBS Case Packet)
(2) HBR Article: “When Marketing IS Strategy” (see shared Dropbox Folder)
(3) HBR Article: “Merging Art and Strategy” (see shared Dropbox Folder)
(4) R & Z Chapter 1, 2

Assignment (Due before class):

Answer the question of “where do you play” (what is your targeted market, being sure to be clear about value proposition and customer segment and why) for Minnesota Micromotors (0.5 – 1 page double spaced)?
