my reply to OU about their hosting a political event.
I'm very disappointed that you promote a lying liar.
I would be much more proud of my alma mater if you instead put out a press release about how you decided NOT to hold this event because of the lies spoken.
This is not a partisan issue I would be equally proud if you denied this event if it were VP Joe Biden as the feature.

To the alumni community,
I am pleased to announce that, once again, Oakland University is winning favorable attention in the national spotlight – this time by hosting a political rally featuring vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan. The event will take place at 7 p.m. tonight, Monday, October 8 in the O'rena.
Though on a more modest scale than the Republican Presidential Debate we hosted at this time last year, the rally is sure to attract local, regional and national press coverage, which will once again demonstrate our commitment to hosting events that encourage discourse on important social issues. At the same time, the event will further advance Oakland's growing level of visibility and respected reputation.
The rally is open to the university community and to the public in general, and the Romney-Ryan campaign has agreed to reserve 300 tickets for OU students. Those of you interested in attending can learn more by viewing the news article we have posted on the Oakland website.
The fact that Oakland continues to win the attention and recognition of individuals, groups and institutions interacting at the national level is a testament to the fine work of all within the university community. To the faculty, staff, students, alumni and supporters of Oakland, thank you for what you are doing to make Oakland the fine institution that has only begun to find a spotlight on the national stage.
Sincerely,
Gary Russi
President
Oakland University
