Pictures and measurements are coming soon.
- Print with PETG, 100% infill. 0.35 mm rough was fine.
- Print 4 quarters (or 2 halves, if you can) of the center piece for the spacer. It wraps around a 1/2 PVC pipe.
- Secure with 2 hose rings
- Insert the Shakespeare Wonderpoles over the center rods
- Place the tip on the top of the PVC pipe (should be about 2 feet from the center).
- Place the middle spacers/bracket on the rods.
- I used nylon #18 "mason twine". Tie a knot at one end, thread through the middle spacer, thread through the tip, then tie to the opposite rod, bending both rods taut. Repeat 3 times.
- Make 6 more equal sizes rope lengths and tie all rods horizontally to each other for stability
- Place the end spacers (for 20m) on the rods.
- Use https://www.hex-beam.com/specs/ for element measurements. I used fishing wire. Gently spread the elements on the spacers. (The 20m elements are very flimsy, since the rods aren't rigid enough at the end)
- Connect the driven element however you choose
Great job.
Do you plan to use it in the field?
