How to stop adverts appearing on your Samsung TV

I'm getting adverts in my TV's UI, help!

Samsung's otherwise excellent 2016 range of UHD TVs received an update that added advertisements to the UI. This has been complained about at great length on Samsung's forums and repeatedly, Samsung have refused to add an option to remove them.

The ads interrupt the clean UI of the TV and are invasive. Here's an example of how they look:

This guide was originally posted on Samsung's TV forums but unfortunately, that site is a super-slow and barely accessible unusable mess.

In Vue, we use v-model for all form bindings, while
Knockout maintains separate binding types, such as
textInput, checked, and options. In some cases,
such as for an input of type "range", Knockout
simply doesn't have an equivalent two-way binding
helper and the more verbose value and valueUpdate
must be used.

The fun of implementing date support
After spending the better part of the month implementing date support
in RethinkDB, Mike Lucy sent the team the following e-mail. It would
have been funny, if it didn't cause thousands of programmers so much
pain. Read it, laugh, and weep!

So, it turns out that we're only going to support dates between the
year 1400 and the year 10000 (inclusive), because that's what boost
supports.
