This code works in practice, but when I try to compile my .emacs
for speed, I get an error:
(ig-indent-sql)
Eager macro-expansion failure: (error "Unknown rx form `32a0'")
I ported this to Emacs 26.1 in this fork:
https://gist.github.com/royseto/91e6db52e58a71ed878c1ac5e039794d
Emacs no longer seems to define insert-string
, so I replaced (insert-string (make-string col ?\s))
with (insert-char ?\s col)
.
I also set tab-width to 4 in SQL mode per my preference.

Awesome! Finally, a way to edit SQL code in Emacs with indentation that's actually GOOD!
Would you mind turning this into a proper Emacs package, for use with MELPA / Marmalade repos? I'd love to be able to
(require 'indent_sql')
