Btw if you just wanna block ads you can (at least in Brazil) disagree to all but the minimal terms of use on your TV (ads notifications are alone on a single category you can disagree with, so you can do that without losing any smart functionality). For home screen ads there's a setting too.
If you wanna block the update notifications you can disagree to all terms of use, but note that disagreeing to the minimum one removes local smarthome functionality such as homekit and maybe home assistant. That's the only "smart" tv feature I use so I have to keep that minimum one accepted, but that enables update notifications so I'll go the DNS path to block those. I could also add the TV to a no internet, local-only, IoT network but I don't have one yet.
I can confirm that adding this gist, the linked repo and vinibali's blocklists can successfully block updates on my TV (at least for now, but I don't think they'd be able to change domains without me updating the TV lol)
