コメントに気づくのが遅れました。
このスクリプトはPyhon3.2でのみ動作を確認しています。
ご指摘のエラーは、Python2でソースコードにマルチバイトが含まれている場合のものなので、1行目を

# coding: utf-8

とすれば動くかもしれません。他のエラーが出るかもしれませんが。
