Copy iOS files to Windows (over WiFi)

1. Turn on sharing in Windows
2. Create a folder to share and set its share permissions to Everyone
3. In iOS FileBrowser add a remote
4. The windows machine should show up
5. Connect to the windows machine
6. Add share
7. Type the name of the shared folder
8. Folder can now be written to and read from my iOS

Trim video clips on Windows

Create small clips to transfer to iPad / LumaFusion.

GoPro's Quik software can't play videos smoothly, so use Photos instead.

1. Locate video
2. Right click , open in Photos (Now set as default open app)
3. Click edit icon (paintbrush and pencil)
4. Choose Trim

1. Remove SD card from GoPro
2. Put into adapter
3. Put into Lightening to Camera adapter
4. Plug into iPad
5. Copy files to Photos
6. Delete files from camera
7. Open Lumafusion
8. Open Albums

Copy iOS files to Windows (over USB)

I used this workflow to move bulky GoPro Footage to the PC. The iPad will he used for assembling preedited clips.

1. Plug iPad into PC
2. If desired, Accept offer to import photos & videos to Dropbox. Or choose Control Panel > Search > Autoplay > iPad
3. Unlock the iPad and agree to all prompts to allow access
4. Browse to the iPad drive
5. Wait a while
6. Browse to the DCIM folder

GPS to GoPro

Note: As a workaround to (3), I've created this Google sheet: "India videos - Real recording times".

1. Record an iPhone video while recording the GoPro video
2. Dump GoPro footage to iPad using camera connection kit
3. Time shift the GoPro video -7.5 hours using iPhone Date Calculator App and iPad HashPhotos, to fix continuity between iPhone GPS tagged videos and GP footage. This changes the Date Created when viewed in Windows 10, and the 'Date' when copied to Windows 10. But the Photos app shows a Date Taken which is the wrong original non offset time And after opening in photos the 'Date' also shows the wrong time. :(
4. Airdrop iPhone videos to iPad
5. Delete iPhone videos from iPhone

Transfer recordings from Windows to iOS without Wifi network

1. Create hotspot on phone
2. Connect PC and iPad to phone
3. Open AudioShare on iPad
4. Click WiFi symbol to start WiFi drive
5. Browse to listed IP address on PC to access AudioShare
6. Create an upload folder
7. Upload files to it

Copy iPhone GoPro files to Windows (over USB)

There is an option to save GoPro videos to Photos. Don't use this as it transcodes the footage (mp4 to mp4). Instead:

1. Open video in GoPro app
2. Click the three dots menu > info > captured on
3. Share icon > Share > 3 dots > Save to files > GoPro
4. Plug phone into PC
5. Open iTunes > File Sharing > GoPro
6. Drag and drop videos to the Blog Media day folder which matches the capture date. Small batches are better to get an idea of progress vs hanging.

Icon sizing

I wanted to recreate a large FontAwesome font with a smaller IcoMoon font used FontAwesome icons. The resulting icons didn't match the positions of the old icons.
